Physical Education
Students in Years P-6
participate in Physical Education lessons each week.
Students in Middle and Senior School are able to
compete in Interschool Sport Gala Days.
Students compete against other schools in soccer, rugby league, netball,
hockey, basketball etc. Students can
then be selected in a Hervey Bay Zone squad to compete against other Districts.
Each year all students school wide participate in the School Athletics and Cross Country
Carnivals as our sports houses of Fire, Earth, Wind and Water compete for the
title of Winning House.
As part of our
Sports Enrichment Program students also have the opportunity to be
involved in NRL and AFL development cup teams and competitions.
Swimming
Swimming lessons are conducted at Kick Swim Centre for all year levels across the school.
Years 4 and 5 participate in Swimming throughout Term 1
Year 6 participate in Swimming throughout Term 3
Years Prep, 1, 2 and 3 participate in Swimming throughout Term 4.
Permission notes will be sent home prior to this commencing. Children will be transported to and from the
pool by bus. The swimming lessons are
part of normal school instruction and therefore ALL students are expected to
attend. If there is a valid reason for
your child to NOT go, please send a note along to the school. Notes are sent home with a timetable prior to
swimming commencing.
Please note: Refunds will not be given on missed
swimming lessons unless a doctor’s certificate is produced to the office.
All EQ students are required to wear a swim shirt for
all water based activities including swimming.
Students will not be able to attend without a swim shirt for protection.
