Yarrilee SS Kindy LinQ Program

Yarrilee  State School, along with all other State Primary Schools in Hervey Bay has been selected to run a free pre-kindy learning program for three-year-old children in 2020.

All families can access this fantastic program to build their confidence as their child's first teacher and giving them vital tips that they can use at home. The trial will be free for families with many benefits gained extending beyond the school gate.

A qualified teacher and early years support coordinator will lead KindyLinQ sessions which will involve at least six hours a week, offering indoor and outdoor play experiences, shared storytelling, music and rhymes. KindyLinQ will act as a soft entry to kindy, encouraging parents and caregivers to actively participate in these play-based learning sessions with their child.

Parents can self-select to access the program by contacting the school and registering their child.

KindyLinQ will operates every Tuesday and Thursday from 8.50- 11.50am in our "School Support Hub Collaboration Space"- in D Block

Please contact our Kindy LinQ Community Engagement Office, Mr Neil Folling on 41977111 for more information about the program, eligibility and how you can access this exciting new program.
