Yarrilee has a policy on homework across the school consisting of ‘core tasks’ and ‘other tasks’.
Core tasks comprise Home Reading which is to be signed off (no time limit), spelling, tables and number facts (set on a weekly basis). Other tasks are to be negotiated with individuals or groups of students according to their needs.
Students who complete their homework on a regular basis will be rewarded. Repeated non-completion will result in school initiated intervention on a case by case basis.
All students are to complete weekly spelling, daily reading and number fact practice. Within senior school, teachers will also set class tasks or additional negotiated work. Please see your child’s teacher for further personal homework tasks.
If you have any questions regarding our homework policy please contact your child’s teacher.

Students are required to use their Yarrilee Library Bag for homework and library book loans.
Students need to bring their Yarrilee pack to school every day. A new bag can be purchased from the office.
Senior school students are required to bring a clearly named calculator to school.
Each Senior student is also required to have a minimum 1Gb data or memory stick. This data stick is a safe way for your child to save, view and transport computer work between various school computers and the home computer. It is suggested that this data stick has a lanyard and is clearly named. If you are unsure of any of these items please see your student’s teacher.

We are proud of our school uniform.
Students are strongly encouraged to wear the uniform to school, when on excursions or representing Yarrilee at sports and other events. Senior school students in particular are expected to follow the Uniform Policy as role models for the whole school.
A copy of this policy can be found on the Home Page of the school website.
Our uniform includes a sun smart hat and very limited use of jewelry. Students are required to bring their hat to school every day so they can participate in class activities.
